In the table below all poker hands are listed. Higher ranking hands are listed before lower ranking hands. When comparing two hands of the same rank, the value of the cards determines who wins. For example, a Pair of Jacks beats a Pair of Tens. If two hands only differ with respect to their suits, the pot is split.
Hand | Example |
Royal Flush A,K,Q,J,10 of the same suit. |
Straight Flush 5 sequential cards of the same suit. |
4 of a Kind 4 cards of the same rank. |
Full House 3 of a Kind and a Pair. |
Flush 5 cards of the same suit. |
Straight 5 sequential cards (an ace is either the highest or lowest card). |
3 of a Kind 3 cards of the same rank. |
2 Pair 2 cards of one rank, and 2 of another rank. |
1 Pair 2 cards of one rank |
High card If a hand is not listed above, the hand with the highest ranking card wins. |
