Customizing your newsfeed

The newsfeeds are highly customizable. You can change the following variables:

• ppboxstyle - The CSS style of the news box for customization of the newsbox width, border and background color;
• ppitemstyle - The CSS style of each news item;
• pplinkstyle - The CSS style of each title link for customization of the title link color and font size;
• ppdatestyle - The CSS style of each date for customization of the date color and font size;
• ppdescstyle - The CSS style of each description for customization of the description color and font size;
• ppnoofitems - The number of news items to be shown (max 5);
• ppshowdesc - Show description (1) or not (0);
• ppmarquee - Scroll the newsbox (1) or not (0);
• ppmarqueevert - Scroll the newsbox vertically (1) or horizontally (0);
• ppmarqueeheight - The height of the newsbox in case scrolling is turned on;
• ppscrollspeed - The scrollspeed (higher numbers result in faster scrolling).

Tip: Our newsfeed wizard allows you to completely customize the appearance of your newsfeed. The code is automatically generated for you based on your selections, so you don't need to manually edit these variables (which is still possible of course).

The Javascript newsfeeds described above were implemented on July 31th, 2005. The old formats are still available on this page, and continue to work just as well, because they operate on the same data as the new formats. The new format has the advantage that it's easier to customize, and it is therefore recommended.
