Brian Yoon Wins Third WSOP Gold Bracelet

Aug 21, 2017

With a huge first place prize of $1,094,349 in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MONSTER STACK, poker pro Brian Yoon won his third gold bracelet. Yoon revealed that he felt this bracelet meant much more because it came a few years after his last win. It was also a great comeback after taking a nine month hiatus.

Yoon, a professional player from Torrance, California, has now accumulated over $4.2 million in earnings. When asked about his success competing in large fields he responded that his skills and style of play are "really well suited for this type of tournament." He plans on investing his winnings and is not sure he will continue to play after this series is over.

Runner up Ihar Soika, a well respected professional from Belarus, brought in a win of $675,995. He has not earned a gold bracelet yet, but he does hold a European Poker Tour title after winning the 2014 €10,300 No Limit Hold'em High Roller event for $989,263.

American Stanley Lee earned $501,353 to take third place. Mr Lee has gone deep four tournaments in a row. He will certainly be one to watch as he continues to move toward his first bracelet.
