Poker professional Alex Jacob showed that he not only knows how to win at poker but also how to win on the game show Jeopardy. Jacob won about $150,000 in his six days on the show. That money pales in comparison to what Jacob has won as a poker pro as he has take in more than $2.6 million in live tournament winnings including cashes at the World Series of Poker.
Jacob looks to have done enough on Jeopardy that he will probably get a seat in the upcoming Jeopardy Tournament of Champions. Jacob, who lives in Chicago, Illinois used a different strategy to dominate over six days. Jacob decided to select from the lower to middle part of the board in hopes that he could hit all of the Daily Doubles. He then either decided to bet big when he was confident to extend his lead or he bet really small and played it safe. His strategy worked and he had a great six day run on the show.
Jacob has taken a bit of a break from professional poker as he now
works as a currency trader but he still has two live poker tournament
wins in his career and he is still a professional poker player who
can win anytime he enters an event.
