Top Poker Pros Competing in Poker Night in America

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

A new television show called “Poker Night in America” makes its debut next year but the play for those shows is already underway. Taping began for the first show which will feature a great cast of poker professionals competing at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York. The casino will host the Empire State Poker Championship and it will also be the site for some great cash game action between the featured professional poker players.

The show should be entertaining with players like Mike Matusow, Phil Laak, Gavin Smith and Eli Elezra leading the way. Other top pros like David Levi, Greg Mueller, Matt Glantz, Tom Schneider and David Baker will join noted WSOP final table competitors Dennis Philips and Darvin Moon.

Also in the field for the event will be Lauren Billings and Kristy Arnett. Billings made a final table this year at the World Series of Poker and Arnett is well known as a poker host.

Poker Night in America was developed by former Heartland Poker Tour co-founder, and current Rush Street Productions President, Todd Anderson.
“We are looking to film the biggest and the best poker events at premier venues,” said Anderson. “We’re going to bring a fresh approach to how poker is shown on TV, making the show relevant to the average viewer. We think the world is ready to watch poker in a whole new way.”

Check your local listings next year on where you can watch Poker Night in America.
