Poker Pros Excited About Online Poker in Nevada

Thu, 3 Oct 2013

Poker pros in the United States can actually play online in the state of Nevada. The first real money play that was legal in the U.S. began in September at online poker sites in the state. Poker professional Greg Merson who won the 2012 World Series of Poker was commenting about how excited he was to see online poker available in Nevada.

The first two sites that beat all the others to online poker in Nevada were Ultimate Poker and the WSOP site. Players actually pre-registered at the Rio during the summer. The total was reported to be more than 12,000 players. Both of the sites were expected to offer online poker in other states when they were able to. Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware have made online poker legal but Nevada was ahead of the other two states in getting things going.

There will be more companies who join the party in these states. Caesars, which owns the WSOP site and Station Casinos which runs the Ultimate Poker site were first but other big boys like MGM Resorts and Wynn Resorts are not far behind.

And don’t think that it will be only poker that is offered at these online sites. Other games should be online in the near future including blackjack, roulette, craps, etc.
