Poker Pro Tom Schneider Wins Two WSOP Bracelets

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

One of the most successful players in the 2013 World Series of Poker has been professional poker player Tom Schneider. He won the $1,500 HORSE event and he also won the $5,000 HORSE event. Schneider has now won four WSOP bracelets in his career.

In the first 31 events of the 2013 World Series of Poker, Schneider had cashed six times with two wins. A total of 261 players put up the $5,000 entry fee for the $5,000 HORSE event which meant there was a prize pool of more than $1.2 million dollars. Here is a look at the top eight finishers.

1. Tom Schneider ($318,955)
2. Benjamin Scholl ($197,228)
3. Greg Mueller ($129,600)
4. Viatcheslav Ortynskiy ($94,664)
5. Chris Klodnicki ($70,093)
6. Adam Friedman ($52,613)
7. David Benyamine ($40,039)
8. Konstantin Puchkov ($30,846)
9. Alex Dovzhenko ($24,129)

The $1,500 HORSE event attracted an even larger field as 862 players put up the $1,500 entry fee which meant the prize pool was just over $1.1 million dollars. Here is a look at the top eight finishers.

1. Tom Schneider ($258,960)
2. Owais Ahmed ($159,950)
3. Viatcheslav Ortynskiy ($108,701)
4. Rep Porter ($75,652)
5. Frankie O'Dell ($53,739)
6. Scott Bohlman ($38,949)
7. Eddie Blumenthal ($28,778)
8. Mark Klecan ($21,679)

Schneider credited his wins to his skill at playing all five games in HORSE. Unlike some WSOP tournaments, HORSE requires that the winner can excel at all five games which is something that Schneider does really well.
