Poker Pro Eric Lindgren Back on Top

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

It has been a tough time recently for poker pro Erick Lindgren but in the 2013 World Series of Poker he was back on top with a win in the $5,000 buy-in six-handed No-Limit Holdem Event #32. It was the first bracelet win for Lindgren since 2008 as he won $606,317.

A total of 516 players put up the $5,000 entry fee for this event which meant the prize pool totaled more than $2.4 million dollars. Lindgren started the final table as the chip leader and he was able to stay in control for the most part. When it got to heads-up, it was Lindgren holding about a 4-1 edge in chips against fellow poker pro Lee Markholt. It was not a walk in the park for Lindgren against Markholt who actually got to even in chips before Lindgren recovered to take the title.

A number of other top poker pros made the money in this 2013 World Series of Poker event including Daniel Negrenau, Andrew Robl and Dan Smith. Here is a look at the top eight finishers and their prize money.

1. Erick Lindgren ($606,317)
2. Lee Markholt ($374,960)
3. Jonathan Little ($238,833)
4. Connor Drinan ($157,274)
5. Vasile Buboi ($106,830)
6. Ryan D'Angelo ($74,768)
7. Andrew Robl ($53,863)
8. Craig Fishman ($53,863)
